During my recent visit to Taverna Sasului for a business trip in the heart of Transylvania, I was pleasantly surprised by the charm of this well-maintained historic guesthouse. Nestled amidst beautiful surroundings, the spacious room I occupied offered a comfortable retreat, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the Carpathian Mountains with a few colleagues. The à la carte breakfast was a delightful start to the day, showcasing local flavors that catered to our adventurous palates. I particularly enjoyed the cozy outdoor areas, adorned with flowers and covered terraces, which were ideal for sharing stories over coffee. While the bathroom facilities could use a bit more space, the warm hospitality and serene garden views more than made up for it. With free private parking and bike hire available, Taverna Sasului is an excellent base for outdoor activities, and I appreciated the nearby cycling paths that beckoned exploration. This guesthouse embodies a harmonious blend of comfort and nature, making it a worthwhile stop for anyone looking to experience the essence of rural Romania.
